Other Workshops

Shown here are other smaller various workshops mostly attended by a younger audience with a few exceptions. Most of these were single-session events with the expectation of the sonic pi workshop. They included soldering together a “bugbot”, making a “magstrip buzzer”, LED christmas cards, introduction to arduino and electronics, etc.

Sonic pi is a coding environment based on ruby with a focus on music making it ideal for introducing computing concepts and lessons for those interested in music and sound. The sonic pi workshop ran at Surrey's City Center Public library for eight weeks with twelve students.

In all of these workshops, my role was support: assisting workshop participants, prepping materials, answering any technical questions, and generally assisting the main instructor in any way so they could focus on the workshop itself.
